Diaper Drive
The
Teddy Bear Fund is in desperate need of diapers for our clients.
It seems that most requests coming to us these days include either
diapers, wipes, or pull-ups. We are asking you, therefore to donate
these items in all sizes. Packages can be found in many places in
different quantities and may run as low as $5.00 for the smaller
quantities and $12.00 for the larger. Doesn't seem very costly, but for
our families with babies it is a huge expense considering how many the
kids go through.
We will be setting up drop-off boxes in various
places shortly. In the meantime, you can call or email us and we will
pick up. If anyone knows of a store or business that might be able to
provide us with larger quantities, please let us know. But we are
counting heavily on your individual donations and are most grateful for
anything you can do to help. We thank you in advance.
TRIKES FOR TYKES RACE
On
July 17, from 10:30
a.m. to 12:00 p.m.,
The Teddy Bear
Fund will be holding our most exciting and fun filled
fund raiser
of the year, the third annual Trikes For Tykes Race on
Main Street
in Concord. This is the Saturday of Concord's "Market Days"
event and you won't want to miss it! Picture adults (18 yrs. and
older) riding 10 inch children's bikes through an
obstacle course
of orange cones while being pelted with nerf balls, sprayed with
water cannons
and anything else we decide to hit them with. The riders have
fun and they are hilarious to watch.

5th Annual Party For Partners In Health
Families
We are already making
plans for one of our favorite events of the year, the
annual party we throw for the clients of
Partners In Health and their families. For those
who are unaware, Partners In Health is a fellow
Non-profit organization whose mission is to aid those
children who have
chronic illnesses or very serious medical issues.
The families' lives are deeply affected emotionally and
financially and PIH is there to help in these cases.
Five years ago, the
Teddy Bear
Fund decided that these special families needed a
day to gather, have a ball, enjoy the festivities and
forget for a while about the ordeals they are facing.
So, we decided to
throw a party for them. It was such a great time that we
made it an annual event. Crafts to make, entertainment
to enjoy, contests, gifts and a full meal to enjoy.
Every year we change the theme and it just seems to get
bigger and better! This, the 5th annual PIH Party will
be held at Camp Spaulding Rec. Center in Penacook on
September 25, from 10:00 until 3:00. We can't wait!
